His Excellency, Gregory Andrews on Tuesday 12 January 2021 paid a working visit to the Volta Region to inspect some of the projects undertaken by his country. H.E Gregory revealed that his visit will bring good fortunes to the people of the region and pledged his full support in diverse ways .
He also indicated that Adaklu is the cleanest city he’s seen so far in Ghana.
“If Ghana had a ‘Tidy Towns’ Prize and I were a judge, I would award my vote to the people in Adaklu near Ho. Their proud town is absolutely spotless. No plastic pollution in sight. He made this comments on the Global Morning Show, on Global 105.1 FM in Ho.
H.E Gregory has encouraged the people to keep up the cleanliness and also touched on more developmental projects undertaker in the region .
He pointed also on the stigma against people living with mental health and called on politicians, celebrities and renowned people to come out and speak on mental health to help alleviate the stigma patients do suffer .
“In Australia, we have bigwigs who come out to speak on their status on mental health, Ghana should adopt that strategy, it will help fight the stigma”
The high commissioner will visit the Vice Chancellor of UHAS and the lepers village in Ho as part of his tour.
