Commander of the 66 Artillery Regiment (Volta Barracks) Pulled Out

The 66 Artillery Regiment in the regional capital, Ho, on Tuesday September 12, 2017, held a Pull-out ceremony to commemorate the falling out of its Commander, Lt. Col. SK Amengor, who has now been assigned to the Ghana Armed Forces Headquarters in Accra.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Volta Regional Minister Dr. Archibald Yaw Letsa, and his deputy, the representative of the council of state for the Volta region and other security Capos.

In his farewell address, Lt. Col. Amengor extended his heartfelt appreciation to the rank and file of the 66 artillery regiment for their comportment and professionalism shown over his nearly four years’ stay with them. He said under his leadership, the regiment has been able to complete the institution’s lecture halls, added some peripheral facilities to the swimming pool and, above all, always acted swiftly to conflict situations that arose from time to time in parts of the region.

Taking over from the outgoing commanding officer is Lt. Col. BB Pantoah. He was commissioned into the Ghana artillery corps in 1999 as a Lieutenant. His work experience includes Troop Leader, Intelligence Officer, among others, which he acquired at the 66 Artillery regiment and the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Teshie, Accra.

He has a Master of Arts certificate in Governance and leadership, Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Resource management, Post-Graduate Diploma in Defense and Conflict Studies in Joint and Multinational Operations and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Administration.
