Seyfame born Seyram Dzah joined Bright Ellis on #VMAMoments on the Global Drive Thursday February 8, 2018.
He applauded the whole idea of Volta Music Awards but only asked that more should be done to promote artistes nominated.
“I think I am not seeing the fever around, its not everywhere. I wanted it to be like everywhere like MTN, you know. But then, am not seeing much promo, you wanna put us out there, we should be out there. Am not seeing any effort like to promote the artistes from the VMA organizers. I am not seeing that” Seyfame has said.
The “All For You” hit maker suggested the organizers put up a compilation CD distributed to radio stations across the entire region so people get to know more about them.
“They could do a compilation of all the nominees, you know, songs and then shared across all radio stations. We have something in Nigeria called popular demand, a mix tape where you could have 100 songs there so if we are 96, its okay we can have our songs there you know” Seyfame suggested.
Seyfame who is now under the management of POSSIBLES STUDIO has filed for Five(5) categories namely Song writer, Hip hop artiste, Hip hop song, Best Rapper and Best Collaboration but got on two(2). He revealed that he was looking out for Afropop or Afrobeat category but filed for Hiplife since it is similar to AfroBeat.
Speaking on Hiplife and Afrobeat the “Hustle and Invest” crooner said he does not know what Hiplife is and was surprised to be nominated for Hiplife artiste of the year a spot he didn’t file for”.
