Dynamo FC begins quest in GN Bank Division 1 League

The journey begins for Dynamo FC this weekend in Zone 3 of the GN BANK Division 1 League against Vision FC as they taste the league for the first time after earning promotion from the just ended season in the Volta Regional Division 2 League.

Dynamo FC, which is based in Ho, the Volta Regional capital, was formed by Daniel Agbogah in 2006.

The Club is also into Women football, and has a ladies’ team called Dynamo Ladies. Starting from the very scratch, Dynamo FC took active part in the Juvenile league before graduating to take part in the Ho Municipal Division 3 League in 2008.

Playing just a season in the Division 3, they earned promotion to play in the Volta Regional Division 2 League.

After coming close on so many occasions to making it to the Division 1 League, they have finally made it after seven (7) years.

The Club has been supported by KickStart Ghana, an NGO which supports education and sports, and strongly believes that with a little money, commitment from the local community and dedicated volunteers, huge difference can be made.

The Club, which is presently faced with considerable financial constraints, has quite an uphill task as it embarks on the quest to survive in the Division 1 League. Speaking in an interview on Global Sports, Mr Daniel Agbogah, CEO of the Club, who also doubles as the Volta Regional Football Association Vice Chairman, called on stake holders in the region, business men, cooperate bodies and the general public to come onboard and support the Club because he alone is unable to handle the financial burden. According to him, it’s about time the Volta Region made a statement in Ghanaian football by way of getting a Club from the region into the premiership. To him, this could be achieved with a positive attitude and mindset.

The Ho Sports Stadium, although is not in the best of shapes, will be the official home match venue for the club. Kickstart Ghana has, however, funded Dynamo FC to do some rehabilitation works on the stadium to meet the minimum standard of the GFA Club Licensing Committee.

Dynamo FC’s official jersey shall be a Yellow shirt dominated by Black stripes, Black and yellow Pants alongside Black hose as its official Jersey. The alternate will be white dominated with Red stripes, white and Red pants with white and red hoses.

The big question on everyone’s mind is, will Dynamo FC survive in the Division 1 League? Hotsteel FC made it twice to the Division 1 League but came back each time after playing just a season on each occasion. Roberto FC was also not successful last season. Will Dynamo FC break the jinx?

Let’s support the club in their quest to raise high and sustain Volta region in the GN BANK DIVISION 1 LEAGUE this season.
