Governance Expert Dr. Emmanuel Adipa Adapoe has called on the electoral commission to do the right thing by heeding to the calls of well meaning Ghanaians who are demanding for a proper results declaration of the just ended General Elections.
Dr. Adipa has mentioned that despite the voting process was smooth, cases of violence recorded at certain polling stations marred the total peaceful nature expected.
“The few violence recorded at some polling stations is a cause of worry to us as a country”
Dr. Adipa has therefore called on the Electoral Com mission to as a matter of urgency give ear to what the aggrieved parties have stated and ensure the agitations are resolved amicably.
He condemn the unprofessional conduct of some security officers who opened fire into a crowd a polling centre and has called on the IGP to expedite actions into the matter and bring to book perpetrators.
