Ghanaian teenage defender from Aflao Volta Region Abbey Agbodzie joins Albanian giants Skenderbeu

Ghanaian defender Abbey Agbodzie who hails from Aflao in the Volta Region has joined Albanian side Skenderbeu on a two-year deal.

The 19-year-old was transferred by third-tier Ghanaian side Sportslife FC after an impressive trial stint.

Abbey once featured in the Ghana Premier League with Dreams FC.

He has also previously featured for Ho Hunters FC.

His arrival increases the number of Ghanaian player at the club to five after Emmanuel Essien, Alfred Mensah, Samuel Armah and Dennis Dowuona.

His arrival was confirmed by the club on their social media handles with other arrivals.


Abbey was elated on joining the Albanian side and used the opportunity on his social media handle to thank his former clubs, Agent, fitness Coach and Ex Black Star Skipper Asamoah Gyan who is a close friend and one person he looks up to.
