Ho Central MP supports rainstorm-torn communities

Benjamin Komla Kpodo, Member of Parliament for the Ho Central Constituency, has presented some relief items to victims of a recent rainstorm that hit some homes at Akoefe Achati in the constituency. The items, among others, include 54 packs of roofing nails and 24 bundles of roofing sheets .

The storm has wreaked considerable havoc on many buildings in the area, leaving scores of people, including some aged folks, temporarily homeless. The MP sympathised with the affected persons and promised to do more in his power to see to it that all affected persons were adequately catered for. He assured them of his unflinching commitment to the development of his constituency.
“I can assure you that I am very much dedicated to ensuring that this constituency is well-developed,” he said.

He observed that any disaster such as this would not only cause socio-economic hardships, but would affect the food security in the area especially when most residents are predominantly farmers.

The Paramount chief of Akoefe Traditional Area, Torgbe Drake Tsigbe IV, while receiving the items on behalf of the community, thanked the MP for his immense support towards the community and encouraged him to continue with more projects. He admonished him to help out with some money to cater for labour cost involved in same.

“On behalf of my people, I say thank you for the good work and may you continue to do more but please,do help cater for labor,” he said.

On his part, the Assembly Member for the area, Hon Joshua Buatsi, together with Mr Lawson Castro Atidigah, developmental chief for the area also thanked the MP for his quick response to their call.

In a related development, the MP equally presented 20 bags of cement to the Global Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Tanyigbe Dzafe as part of his promise to help construct a chapel for the church.
