Ho West NDC Holds Sensitization and Capacity-building Workshop for Executives Ahead of Election 2020

The Ho West Constituency NDC has instituted a series of training and capacity-building workshops for Branch Executives of the party. The event, which has so far pulled together a good number of executives of the various branches within the Wards of the Constituency, is expected to sensitize party officials on sensitive issues of party reorganization and communication going into the December 2020 general elections.

For the purposes of smooth implementation, the Constituency has been partitioned into five (5) Zones, each of which comprises about 25 branches.
The workshop kicked off on the 29th January, 2020 with the Weto Zone. This was followed by the Abutia Zones A and B on 12 February; after which the Kpedze/Honuta and Kpoeta Zones took their turn on 20 February.
The caravan made a stop at Dzolokpuita today February 27, 2020 as the Yigor Zone had their turn to interface with facilitators and other Regional Executives.

Addressing the participants, a former Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Francis Komla Ganyaglo, who is the principal facilitator for the workshop, re-oriented party executives on the full import of their duties as spelt out in the party’s Constitution. He admonished them to be more conscious of their duties, now more than ever, not only to galvanize the support base of the party towards victory 2020, but more importantly, to make the party more attractive to non-members.

He further admonished them to endeavor to respect the position and duties of other executives and not seek to usuro others’ duties. Every executive has a sacred duty to perform, and so he/she must be allowed to perform those duties and not sidelined in anyway whatsoever. He encouraged them to, most of all, be prayerful and seek the face of God at all times.
On his part, the Deputy Regional Communication Officer of the party, Bright Delali Kugbeadzor, who represented the Regional Chairman, drummed home the fact that of all the 18 constituencies in the region, the Ho west Constituency was the only one that had piloted such an initiative. And in light of the great success recorded, the Regional Secretariat was taking steps to replicate same in the remaining seventeen constituencies across the region. He reminded participants to not lose sight of their fundamental commitment (as members of a social democratic political party) to working for the electoral success of the party at all times. He further admonished members to guard against the propagandist machinations of political opponents intended to discourage them, and to also endeavor seek knowledge on party programmes and activities so as not to be vulnerable to such propaganda.

In an exclusive interview on the sidelines of the event, the Ho West Constituency Chairman of the party, Mr. Delight Nukomeko Tetteh, commended the executives for their continuous commitment to the party. He admonished them to be relentless in their organizational efforts so as to aid the party’s bid to recapture power in the a December 2020 general elections.
