Home Stars FC names Christian Chibueze as Head Coach

Home Stars Football Club has appointed Christian Chibueze as their head coach.

The Division 2 side took to their Facebook page to announce the appointment of the young and enterprising coach yesterday June 9, 2021.


The Regional Division 2 league in some regions have kicked off. Other regions are yet to start the coming weekend with the Volta Regional Football also set to commence on Friday, June 18 according to reports.

Reacting to the appointment, a grateful Mourinho on his Instagram page, acknowledged the appointment, thanking the management of Home Stars FC for the confidence repose in him.

“I would like to thank Home Stars FC for their confidence in me to lead the team, it feels amazing to be back to this great family with their amazing supporters”

The new coach speaking on the squad, believes the quality was enormous and couldn’t hide his anticipation of working with the team as well as the staff.

“I cannot wait to meet my players and get started. The quality in the squad excites me. Looking forward to working with the squad we have, the staff and everyone at the club.” He said.

Christian Chibueze, a licensed ‘C’ holder is expected to qualify the team to the Division 1 status after the end of the season. He is also the owner of Juvenile side Eze Sporting Club and a Head Of Sports  Desk at Global FM and Volta1 TV (Globafest)
