The Executive Director of STRANEK Africa , Nii Tettey Tetteh, has described the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu’s response to their petition to investigate the Agyapa Mineral Royalties deal as very unfortunate and insulting . Martin Amidu, in his response to a petition tabled before him by SRANEK Africa for investigations into the embattled Agyapa Royalties deal, described the policy think tank’s move as populist and opportunistic .
Speaking on the Global Morning Show Tuesday September 23, 2020 Nii Tettey Tetteh disagreed with the Special Prosecutor, adding that it was a very petty and rather “childish” way of responding to their petition.
“It was very unfortunate to hear the media circus Martin’s response, I feel he was being petty and childish in such a reply. We expect him to rather open his doors for more ideas to be brought to his table to enable him fight against corruption,” he said.
He expressed his outfit’s disappointment in the Special Prosecutor, saying they will add their voice to that of ASEPA and any to other Ghanaian’s who feels Mr. Amidu has not lived up to expectations, for the latter to be axed from the office.
“We will support the idea of asking the president to sack him from office because he has failed.”
