Lord Commey, Christabel Nettey, TV3’s Peter Adattor, others honoured at Ghana Sports Excellence Awards 2018

Shortlisted sports personalities have been honoured at the Special edition of the Annual Ghana Sports Excellence Awards 2018, at the British Council in Accra, Ghana, on Friday, January 04, 2019.

They include the Director of Operations at the Presidency of the Republic of Ghana, Dr Lord Commey who was awarded with the Community Sports Development accolade, TV3 Network’s Peter Quao Adattor (Exceptional TV Cameraman), Starr FM’s Betty Yawson (Exceptional Female Sports Journalist (Radio), and Jese Lartey, a bronze medallist at the
Commonwealth Games 2018.

Others are Global FM’s Christian Chibueze (Exceptional Radio Show Host), Ghanaian-Canadian Christabel Nettey (Exceptional Diasporan Sports Athlete), Commonwealth Games 2018 gold medallist, and former Editor of the Graphic Sports, Felix Abayateye (Contribution to Sports Journalism (Global).

Founded by Hallmark Plus, the Annual Ghana Sports Excellence Awards scheme is aimed at rewarding exceptional Ghanaian athletes, volunteers, sports media, as well as sports administrators, and other
stakeholders, worldwide.

Last Friday’s event makes it three editions, after taking a break in 2016 and 2017.
