The founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mr. Kofi Percival Akpaloo has advice ex-president John Dramani Mahama to desist from contesting in the upcoming election or end up in court.
According to the Leader, “if the former president (Mr. John Dramani Mahama) is not careful he will go to prison”.
He further added that the ex- president wants to be disgrace before he dies.
Mr Kofi Akpaloo made these submissions in an interview on the Global FM’s Morning Show on Wednesday June 21st, 2018.
Mr. Kofi Akpaloo was relating to what happened to the former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President “Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi” to what he says will happen to Mr. John Dramani Mahama.
Mr. Kofi Akpaloo said if “Nyantakyi” had left the Ghana Football Association (GFA) what happened to him wouldn’t have happened, adding that “Mr. Mahama has left the scene so should not come back again or else his issue will become the other version of Nyantakyi’s scandal”.
He again continued with a proverb in Twi which translate as ‘’When water stays in a bottle for a long time, it stinks’’ – Kofi Akpaloo
He noted that Mr. John Dramani Mahama before becoming the former President was a Vice President, Minister, Deputy minister, Member of Parliament and has passed through all this stages before coming down to the former President and all that he is supposed to do is to go home quietly and allow other people who can even do far better than him to continue from where he left.
‘’NDC should be careful because if they try to bring him on board, he will be in prison and be contesting for the election.’’ He added.
