Maxline Ziddah Kofi wins maiden Volta FIFA Championship

Max has been crowned the winner of the maiden edition of the Volta FIFA20 Championship eSports tournament after defeating Senam by three goals to nil in the final of the competition.

The competition, which was organized and powered by Eze Gaming Hub saw Sixteen (16) of the best FIFA players in the Volta Region going toe-to-toe for the ultimate trophy. The cry of gamers in the Volta Region was heard as the euphoria and build up to the tournament after it was launched 4 weeks ago was lit. The tournament was monitored under the auspices of the Ghana Electronics Sports Association with attendance from the President, Mr Kwesy Hayford and Prince. The game kicked off with 16 players paired in 4 groups. Among these was a surprise package, Ms. Dabi Diamond, a female gamer who was poised to break the masculine monopoly. The pairing was done with advanced technology adopted by the E-sports Association to spice up the tournament.

Max, the ultimate winner, put up an impressive performance right from the very beginning, winning all his matches and scored 30 goals in all.
The first runner up, Senam, who also beat all his opponents to make it to the final round, scored 26 goals to secure the second spot after losing to Max while Sammy placed third after beating Lamar 2-1 in the 3rd place game.

Max took home the ultimate trophy and a gold medal, a brand new Nasco 32 inch TV set plus complete DSTV zapper decoder and dish from official sponsors Victor Electronics, and Senam took home a silver medal and a brand new smart phone from Nasco GH.
For his prize, second runner-up, Sammy, took home a bronze medal with a ceiling fan whiles 4th placed Lamar took home a pressing iron.
Ms. Dabi Diamond, the only lady to take part in the tournament, received a jersey as an encouragement from organisers.

Winners also received assorted food products from Foodtech Ltd while players who made it to the quater-finals also took home some products from Foodtech Ltd.

President of Ghana Electronics Sports Association, Mr Kwesy Hayford, said he was happy with the tournament and encouraged gamers to compete at the highest level to improve their CVs in Esports as this is the future. On his part, the CEO of Eze Gaming Hub, Mr. Christian Chibueze, was greatful to the sponsors for their support and asked other corporate companies to come on board to support Esports in the region.He also hinted that the tournament was merely the first of many more to come from his camp with the next big one being the FIFA Celebrity battle and many more.
