NDC Youth Activist of the Ketu South Constituency, Mr. Dan Jerry Sorokpo has urged all NDC grassroot comrades across the country to take interest in electing dedicated and hardworking leaders in the on-going nationwide branch elections in order to ensure victory in the 2020 general elections.
He emphasizes that, by electing members of above characteristics will help to mobilize voters from grassroot base for the NDC party, adding that since elections are won from grassroot levels ,there is a need to elect fearless and good branch executives to monitor polling agents in the 2020 general election.
The private researcher, however implore all NDC comrades at the grassroot level to desist from selfish interest during this branch election exercise and think about the party first by coming to a consensus to elect active members who can handle branches.
He further appealed to the grassroot members not to sell their conscience to any grassroot leaders for their future personal advantage which can bring confusion into the on-going branch election across the country.
He also entreated all NDC grassroot branch aspirants to adhere strictly to NEC guidelines outlined for branch election in accordance with NDC’s constitution.
He also charged the NDC National Executive Committee (NEC) to be proactive in discharging their duties in this crucial period without any favouritism that would disrupt the election guidelines and peace at grassroot base.
Mr. Sorokpo also cautions both old and new branch executives not see themselves as enemies after branch election but rather consider themselves as one family under one umbrella thereby sharing ideas and strategies together for massive victory in 2020 general election.
He further appealed to NDC leadership and Ghana Institute of Social Democrat (GISD) to promptly organize party leadership courses and workshops for the newly branch executives across in order to equip them effectively for grassroot mobilization towards victory ahead.
