Vane Citizens Association Donates To Community

Some well-meaning citizens of Avatime Vane have donated assorted items to the Avatime Vane community in a bid to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The citizens, who are members of the Vane Avatime Citizens Association (VACA) made the gesture as part of their own responsibility and commitment to the fight. Items donated include veronica buckets, nose masks, non-contact thermometers, dozens of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, liquid soap, etc. Some of these were presented to both the Vane Health Center and while the rest went to the Vane COVID-19 task-force on behalf of the community.

Presenting the items on behalf of the group, Mr Amedo Emmanuel and Mrs Ofasi-Gbagbo Viola, used the opportunity to sensitize the citizens on the preventive measures of COVID-19. They emphasized the necessity of hand washing with soap under running water, wearing of face mask and observing social distancing. The citizens were implored to make use of the items presented to them.

Miss Celestine Atutornu received the items on behalf of the Vane Health Center and expressed her gratitude to VACA for the good gesture extended to them.

On their part, Mr Gbagbo Joboson and Rtd. Col. Bosrotsi, on behalf of the community elders, eulogized the association for the good work done.
