Division Two Clubs, DFA’s chairmen, Juvenile Clubs, Coaches and Women’s Football in the Volta Region today, elected their representatives on the newly constituted Executive Council position.
Nine (9) football administrators were elected onto the 11-men Executive Council position at the World Vision, Ho on Thursday, February 20, 2020.
The newly constituted Executive Council comprises of Three representatives from registered 2nd Division clubs, two from the DFA’s chairmen, one from Coaches, two from Juvenile clubs and one member for Women’s Football as required in the statutes of the Ghana Football. A slot has been automatically reserved for the elected Regional Football Association Chairman.
Out of the 12 Executive Council Membership, all representative positions went on oppose, aside from the 3 Division Two (2) Slots and referees who nobody filed for.
Thirty-two delegates from the regional Division Two (2) clubs were eligible to vote.
Mark Selorm Coffie (NADM) got 28 votes, Hamza Mutala (Bebeto FC) 22 votes, Wisdom Junior Bakah (Narita FC) 19 votes to beat off competion from Richard Owusu Paintsil (Shining Stars) 8 votes, Alex Ahazie (Voradep) 7 Votes and Mathew Dowli Kadu (Agbozume United) 4 votes to grab themselves a position on the executive council.
The executive council members were sworn in by David Amo, Vice-Chairman of the Electoral Committee of the Ghana Football Association and thanked delegates for a peaceful election.
