The Chairman of the Regional Football Association, Daniel Agbogah has reiterated his desire and commitment to the development and growth of grassroots football in the Volta Region.
He made those revelations when he met the Municipal/District Football Association (MDFA) Chairmen in the region at the newly refurbish RFA secretariat in Ho.
The meeting brought together 9 Municipal/District Chairmen to deliberate and make decisions on the growth and development of football in their respective jurisdictions.
Mr Agbogah however bemoans the low patronage of juvenile football in the region and tasked the Chairmen to revive the grassroot game, as they are the future of the regional football.
The Chairman revealed that the RFA has taken the initial step in requesting the assistance of the regional Minister in securing office space for the various football administrative Municipal and Districts.
“We met with the Regional Minister and have advanced the possibility of securing office space for the various DFAs. We believe when this is successful, working from the comfort of your office will provide you more comfort, good public image and run effectively.”
Mr Agbogah also used the occasion to urge the DFA’s to endeavor to have at least 1 women football club running effectively under them to increase female participation in the game.
Also in attendance was the secretary of the RFA Promise Ahiagba.
